FirstBuck is local-first. There's no account and no sign-up. Your playbooks, plans, streak, and logged first bucks live on your device — not on our servers. We don't run analytics or tracking SDKs, and we don't sell or share anything.
What stays on your device
Everything that matters. The graded playbook library, every plan you generate, your 30-day checklist progress, your streak, the name on your engraved bill, and every dollar you log are stored locally on your phone using Apple's on-device storage. If you delete the app, that data is gone — we never held a copy.
What leaves your device, and why
- Generating a city plan. When you tap "Do this in my city," the app sends the selected playbook and the city you chose to our plan-generation service to assemble your plan. This request carries no name, email, account, or device identifier — just the playbook and the city. We don't retain it beyond producing your plan.
- Finding nearby venues. Venue and prospect lists come from Apple Maps (MapKit) searches performed for the city on your plan. This is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
- Location (optional). If you tap "Use my location" during setup, the app uses your location once to fill in your city, then reverse-geocodes it to a city name. We never track you in the background, and you can always type your city in by hand instead.
- Purchases. Buying a playbook or the lifetime unlock is handled entirely by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). We never see your payment details; we only learn that an entitlement is active.
- Feedback (only if you send it). If you use the in-app "Help shape FirstBuck" feature to send a bug report or idea, that message — plus your app version, device model, and OS version — is sent to our feedback service. It's anonymous: no name, email, or account is attached unless you choose to type one in.
What we don't do
- No accounts, logins, or passwords.
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data.
- No background location, contacts, photos, or microphone access.
Children
FirstBuck is intended for adults exploring side income and small business. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
